Narrative:This music video is about a young black male, who from a very young age realised he was different from other little boys. Preferring to hang with girls instead of doing things considered boyish. He fought his feelings as he grew into adulthood but later met another young man who he began spending time with and realised the feelings he had for him were more than just friends. Things began to spiral out of control when his dad found and confronted him with a magazine targeted for males he had hidden. He felt ashamed and disappointed and ran away. He met and felt attracted to another young man and ended up in his bed when he visited his family home for dinner. He was so ashamed when his friends dad walked in on them in bed together he left the house escorted by his friends dad. He tried hard to block out his feelings and fit in with society playing american football until he returned to his locker one day and his team mates had obviously found out he was gay and stuck a giant plastic penis on the inside of the locker. Humiliated he decided to commit suicide with a gun realises he can't pull the trigger. He decides he's not going to fight or hide the way he feels anymore just to fit in with society. He ends up marrying the man he loves and they have a child together.

Editing: In Lil Uzi Verts music video many different editing techniques are used. At the beginning a fuzzy effect for the camera is used making the video look old school like with a lot of camera close ups and fuzzing out faces.Throughout the video effects like smoke are brought in and lightning strikes along with the addition of the colour purple used in the whole video which is Lil Uzis signature colour used in songs and also the colour of his hair adding an artistic feel to the video. There are also many different camera shots taken and slow motion effects put into the video. The cuts in the video are also in time with the beat which fans will enjoy for visualpleasure. Down at the bottom the subtitles/captions are in arabic instead of english which would be expected so that is unusual and not explained

Performance:The music video starts with a drones point of view flying over Kampala, Uganda. The beats then drops and in comes the compilation of the Ugandan natural talented street performers showcasing their unique ethnic dance moves. In the video you can see French Montana is enjoying going back to the country his family is from as he is shown smiling and dancing with the kids and adults enjoying the culture to its full extent. He is also shown enjoying life in what seems to be some type of bar at minute 3:10 with the other rapper in the video Swae lee playing pool and also having fun dancing in the video. The lyrics also relate to the video as when Swae lee sings 'you're unforgettable at 1:14 French Montana is seen pointing to a little girl he has held in his hands.
Mise-en-scene:The location of the music video is Kazakhstan following the last kid on earth. There are locations in Kazakhstan such as canyons, huts. Destroyed houses are also shown. The little boy is also shown to be quite dirty and scruffy, he looks like he hasn't worn clean clothes fora while. Just by looking at him you can see that he hasn't had a lot of water or food for a long time. As the song goes on his outfit changes and he's shown to have somewhat of a blanket on and a wooly hat for when its night time as it gets cold. An abandoned school which looks like war has taken its toll on as well. There is hand art on the school walls from past children to which the kid places his hand on the wall to thinking back to how things were. Others scenes include the sea a desert looking plain and mountains. Horses can also be seen in the video. At the end there is a camp of people who also look like they have been alone for a long time.

Camerawork: In wild thoughts the camera work is phenomenal. Throughout the video there are many different shots per second and different angles, examples include: the zooms on the many different instruments in the video as well as Dj Khaled (record producer), Rihanna and Bryson Tiller (artists). The tracking technique used in this video involves a camera being mounted on a platform that has wheels an example of this being used is at 0:35 when Dj Khaled and Rihanna are walking together down the street. There are also panning elements in the video following a subject which in this case is the artists as they dance around the set along with the extras. The camera can also blur out the extras in the background and focus mainly on the leading roles giving them more camera time even when there are others on the screen. Another camerawork element used is the tilting of the camera in certain scenes and shooting from different angles like being below the three stars at minute 3:00
Also notice how there are no shaky camera movements. This is because it wasnt filmed by somebody holding the camera but by being put on a platform.
